How Ood

Yeah, so this is what I do with my free time. I crochet Ood.
No, I stumbled over this: [link] and was hit with sudden inspiration. The only problem was that I hadn't used a crochet hook since middle school.... but it was fun trying again!
So they are definitely not perfect - but I loved working on them and I like the outcome, I think they are adorable.
The bodies are stuffed with waste fabric, the heads with rice, which gives them a nice squishyness - both true to the original and nice to touch (but I have yet to find a method to keep the rice from squeezing out )
Oh, and no translator, sorry. Everything I tried looked odd.


And for everyone who is not familiar with weird egg-headed creatures with squishy heads and tentacles for a mouth: They are monsters from the British TV Series Doctor Who, if that is any help.
